We collaborate with our clients to create digital tools that integrate the requirements for business success, the needs of people and the possibilities of technology. We research, ideate, test and validate before we start building. The thewave design framework is your guarantee that your efforts will result in efficiency gains, a better customer experience with great adoption and the solid engagement you are aiming for.
What we do
User Research & Insights
User research focuses on understanding user behaviour, needs and motivations through various techniques. We acquire and deliver industry specific insights via our in-house research lab. We offer both qualitative and quantitative research and in-depth interviews. For each project, we capture and define user goals, needs, pain points and expectations and define business goals and opportunities for service and product improvements.
Prototyping is an experimental process in which we ideate, experiment with, and bring concepts to life, ranging from paper ideas to digital designs. Prototypes are early samples of a design that users and stakeholders can interact with and visualize before the final product is developed. Prototypes are created without a single line of code, which makes this a fastand low-cost way to quickly detect errors and avoid feature costs while still building your digital product.
User Experience Design is the process of designing products that are easy and enjoyable for people to use. By building products to be as effortless as possible for users, you can encourage adoption, retention, and loyalty. We design in a human-centered way, always putting the user at the centre of every decision and process, from user research to wireframing and brainstorming.
Usability testing is an assessment and research technique that analyses multiple aspects of an experience through simple user-performed tasks. We invite users to our usability lab and let them test the product via an interactive prototype. We create user scenarios with specific tasks for users to run through that focus on the most important pain points. The insights we gain from usability tests help to perfect the digital solution.
A design system is single source of truth: a collection of reusable components and patterns, guided by a clear set of standards a team uses to create consistent experiences across a range of products. Design systems allow to manage design at scale, allows design and development work to be created and replicated efficiently and creates visual consistency across products, channels, and (potentially siloed) departments.
The user interface is the graphical layout of a digital product. It consists of both visual design (buttons, text fields, images) as well as interaction design (functionality and logical arrangement of elements). The goal of user interface design is to create a user interface that makes it easy, efficient and enjoyable for users to interact with a product.
They slow us down to speed us up. By taking the time to prototype our ideas, we avoid costly mistakes such as becoming too complex too early and sticking with a weak idea for too long.

Design Thinking Training
We want to thank Lien Vandervelde & Annelies Callewaert for guiding us through the Design Thinking processes and providing us with tools to adopt the Design Thinking Mindset! We are now better armed to deal with the ongoing customer-centricity needs. Absolutely not the last time we will be doing this 😉. See you at the next edition? Keep an eye on our Ensur & thewave LinkedIn pages.
