In this role, you will provide actuarial analysis, risk quantification, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective risk management practices. You will improve decision-making and deliver pragmatic technical solutions.

As a Senior Insurance and Actuarial Consultant you will:

• Support clients with risk and actuarial analyses tailored to the insurance sector.  
• Develop and refine risk management strategies, policies, and governance processes that help insurers manage their key risks more effectively.
• Conduct advanced modeling, simulations, scenario analysis and data analytics to assess risk exposures and capital impact.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess the impact of different risk factors on the business.
• Be a part of larger transformation projects that combine risk, actuarial, compliance and business skills to deliver a pragmatic solution for the client.
• Support clients in defining their valuation and pricing strategies.
• Translate technical results into key conclusions for the client and hands-on actions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with a team of insurance specialists who value hands-on problem solving and quality delivery.

Required Profile

• You have 5+ years of experience in actuarial science, quantitative risk management, or insurance consulting.
• Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics or Mathematics is a strong plus.
• You have a solid understanding of insurance risks, actuarial concepts and regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II.
• You are comfortable with quantitative methods, modeling, simulations, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
• Experience with tools such  as R, Python, SAS, VBA, MATLAB, or similar.
• Experience with capital adequacy assessments, best estimate and solvency calculations, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., Solvency II).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
• A team player who can work autonomously.
• Good knowledge of English and Dutch/French.
• You like variety in your job and you are flexible.
• You have a passion for insurance.
